This is the most powerful compressor you can run on a standard household 115v - 15 amp circuit.(5.5 cfm at 40 psi)It has a 2 stage pump with cast iron cylinders and aluminum heads that cuts off at approx 190 psi and cuts in at 160 psi. Because it operates at a higher pressure than single stage pumps, the 4 gallon tank holds as much air as a 7 gallon tank on a single stage compressor system (hence the compact size)
Great for roofers and contractors as with a 5000 hour average pump life, this will outlast all those cheap consumer compressors - this is a commercial duty compressor that is small and portable (it is heavy at 132# but that is the price of quality and durability) It has a folding handle and 2 large flat free wheels so compressor can be moved like a wheelbarrow.
